What have I read this week? It’s late, sorry!
The Secret to Superhuman Strength by Alison Bechdel
This is a graphic novel about the author’s relationship with exercise throughout her life. I felt pretty neutral about this; although I liked the art, the story didn’t really work for me. I would probably read more by this author.
The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman
This is a fantasy novel about a thief named Kinch Na Shannack, who is sent on a mission by the Takers Guild. I really enjoyed this; it was a lot of fun. I would definitely read more by this author.
I Hope We Choose Love by Kai Cheng Thom
This is a book of essays and poems about love, community and justice by a trans woman of colour. I enjoyed this; it was really interesting. I would definitely read more by this author.
King Kong Theory by Virginie Despentes
This is a book of feminist essays about women’s sexuality and gender roles. I found this interesting, although I definitely disagreed with some of it. I might read more by this author.
