What have I read this week? It’s a week late, sorry! I have been super distracted this week.
The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon
This is a fantasy novel about a young woman named Paige who is a clairvoyant living in a Britain where this is illegal. This is book 4 in The Bone Season series. I enjoyed this; the world and the characters are interesting. I would definitely read more by this author.
The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden
This is a fantasy novel set in South Africa about an ancient demigoddess trying to regain her former power and the people who come together to stop her. I enjoyed this a lot; the characters are fascinating and the world was really interesting. I would definitely read more by this author.
The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa
This is a novel about a woman who lives on an island where things (including the idea of the thing) regularly disappear. I enjoyed this; it was a really interesting idea and I liked seeing how it played out. I would definitely read more by this author.
The Sugared Game by KJ Charles
This is a novel set in the 1920s about a man named Will Darling who becomes involved in trying to break up a criminal syndicate. I enjoyed this; it was a fun read and the characters are very engaging. I would definitely read more by this author.
Strange Exit by Parker Peevyhouse
This is a science fiction novel about a young woman named Lake, who is trying to rescue people trapped in a simulation on a dying ship. I enjoyed this; it’s an interesting story and I liked the characters. I would definitely read more by this author.
The Echo Room by Parker Peevyhouse
This is a science fiction novel about a young man named Rett, who keeps waking up in a deserted building with the same young woman. I liked this; it took a while to get an idea of what was going on but I found it pretty satisfying. I would definitely read more by this author.
