These are fantasy novels about a young woman named Rin, who has the power of a god, and is trying to liberate her country. They are books 2 and 3 in The Poppy War trilogy. I really enjoyed these, and I found them a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. I would definitely read more by this author.
